Writer/mom Kelly Oxford — named one of Time magazine's best on Twitter — has sold a script called Son of a Bitch, which sounds like it's right up our alley.

According to Deadline:

In the vein of Bridesmaids, the raucous comedy is about a young stoner who tries to maintain her popular party image even after discovering she's pregnant.

A plot that appeals to our Pot Psychology-loving hearts! When I think of stoner flicks, movies like Pineapple Express, Dazed and Confused, Harold and Kumar, Friday and Half-Baked come to mind — and they're all male-dominated. Anna Faris in Smiley Face is the only ladyweed movie I can come up with, and that thing was terrible.

Last fall, NBC bought a TV pilot from Oxford, but unfortunately, that project will never see the airwaves. However: Rejection fueled creativity! Of Son of a Bitch, Oxford explains on her Tumblr:

Wrote this a few weeks after NBC passed on my pilot in Feb.
Thanks NBC.

Am I the only one that finds nothing amusing or positive about stoner films and am incredibly unexcited to see another one, starring a lady or no?
