Lady Mary Is a Dead-Eyed Shut-In in Season 4 Premiere of Downton Abbey

Today a clip for the upcoming season of Downton was released, and things are not looking good for Lady Mary. Mainly because, you know, SPOILERS.

Season 4 picks up six months after the end of season 3, and it’s a grim picture. All I’m saying is, don’t expect any musical numbers in the first episode and maybe expect Lady Mary go all The Awakening on us. Hold it together, Mary! You (and your staff of dozens) have lil’ George to look after now.

Downton Abbey premieres in the U.K. this Sunday, but we won’t get it stateside until January 5. Which is in 2014. Which is not that far away, like sand through an hourglass, OMFGYG how are we in the middle of September already.
