Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell's Lifetime Movie Is Coming This Summer

The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Kristen Wiig and Will Ferrell made a Lifetime movie called A Deadly Adoption, to be released “early” this summer. We’re not talking Lifetime-ish, here. We’re talking actual Lifetime. The same channel responsible for movies like Mother, May I Sleep With Danger? and Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever.

Ferrell and Wiig star in the dramatic thriller as a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman (played by 90210 alum Jessica Lowndes) with the hopes of adopting her unborn child — then things quickly go awry.

Maybe lampooning their own channel with movies starring A-listers will become an annual thing – kind of like NBC’s winter musicals. For next summer, allow me to suggest Lupita Nyong’o and Benedict Cumberbatch in…I Think My Husband Might Not Be Who He Says He Is.
