Kim Zolciak Suffers Stroke, Paralysis Only Hours After Appearing on DWTS

Dancing With the Stars has become far too dangerous for The Real Housewives. First, Lisa Vanderpump fainted while on the show several seasons back—although there’s been some talk that her beautiful “dying swan” was faked—and now recording artist Kim Zolciak has suffered a stroke mere hours after appearing on the show. Is it the dancing or the Botox, though?

According to TMZ, Zolciak flew home from taping on Tuesday and suffered a medical emergency only minutes after stepping off the plane. “The left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone,” she said.

Zolciak, who’s now doing much better and is back to talking, singing, and moving around, doesn’t know exactly what caused her mini-stroke, but wonders if it was the Botox she had been injected with a day before the show. However, Botox may not be the culprit; it’s even apparently prescribed for stroke sufferers to ease some of their symptoms.

Whatever went on, Zolciak’s back to being a fully-functioning human. She is especially grateful to her family, who reacted quickly and got her the help that she needed. Here’s the caption she posted along with a photo of herself in the hospital:

The last 24hrs have been whirlwind! I landed yesterday morning from LAX (took the red eye right after DWTS) I got home and within minutes suffered a TIA (mini stroke) the left side of my body went completely numb and my speech was gone.
