Kim Porter Is Dead at 47

Former model and sometime actor Kim Porter is dead at the age of 47. She was found dead at her Los Angeles-area home Thursday, according to TMZ. The cause of death is as yet unreported, but the emergency dispatch audio TMZ obtained claims cardiac arrest, and an unnamed source says she had been battling pneumonia for weeks. On October 30, she attended the Los Angeles premiere of The Holiday Calendar, which she posted about on her Instagram.

Porter was the on-again-off-again girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs for 13 years. They had three children together, son Christian (born 1998) and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James (born 2006). Additionally, Combs raised Porter’s son from her previous relationship with singer Al B. Sure!, Quincy (born 1991).

Porter was a socialite of sorts and a familiar face to those who closely followed the career of Diddy, his record label Bad Boy, and hip hop in general. Given what she must have gone through and witnessed during Bad Boy’s ascent, she probably could have written one hell of a memoir.
