Katy Perry Keeps Locks of Celeb Hair in Her Purse Like a Creepy Witch

In case you’ve been puzzling over how Katy Perry could possibly maintain such boundlessly youthful elasticity and vigor, well, mystery solved! It’s horcruxes, basically. Witch stuff. She’s doing witch stuff.

In a press interview for her new album Prism, Perry revealed that she takes locks of hair from her celebrity friends, ties (BESPELLED) ribbons around them, and keeps them in her purse as lifeforce-draining totems of the dark arts.

When asked what she kept in her purse, the 28-year-old replied that it’s “big and empty now,” before quickly finding something more interesting to add. “One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift,” she explained.

“And I asked them for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome.”

…Luckily for her, Taylor and Miley both obliged and handed over a section of their locks for Katy to stash in her handbag. “I put little bows on them individually and put them in my purse. And that was my little secret and I’m a freak!” Katy laughed.
