Kacey Musgraves Is the World's Most Interesting Woman

Latest

Kacey Musgraves, the Grammy-winning country star whose “Biscuits” will probably go down as the best song of 2015, was the subject of Us Weekly’s 25 Things You Don’t Know About Me this week. Though it’s filled with some things most of us almost certainly knew about her (that a country singer loves riding horses should surprise no one), the rest of the list confirms Musgraves’ status as The World’s Most Interesting Woman.

2. I have a very irrational fear of spiders. And alien abductions.

It’s as though she knew spiders weren’t interesting enough and decided to throw in her larger truth: she fears alien abductions. Very interesting.

3. Speaking of, I’ve seen several UFOs.

How often do you think Kacey Musgraves joins a conversation—any conversation—with, “Speaking of, I’ve seen several UFOs.” I would like to be at a party with Kacey Musgraves where she follows up my rant about fake IMAX screens with, “Speaking of, I’ve seen several UFOs.” What an interesting conversation that would be.

Tell me everything about the UFOs you’ve seen, Kacey. Were they discs? Triangular? Did they appear in groups? Did they make sharp turns that would be impossible for any manmade craft? I want to know it all.

14. I’m helping creatively to develop a vodka company called Zodiac.
15. I’m also working to develop a line of cowboy boots with Lucchese.

A country star who promotes her vodka before her cowboy boots? I respect that. I also find it so, so, interesting.

23. I love drinking hot tea.

I don’t believe there are too many country singers who would openly spit on their iced tea-loving heritage, so Musgraves’s willingness to do so interests me greatly.

25. I framed a joint from Willie Nelson.

Can you imagine a more interesting piece of decor that a framed joint given to you by Willie Nelson? Everything you’ve ever hung up in your home is a blank white canvas in comparison. Congratulations, Kacey. You’re The World’s Most Interesting Woman.
