Justin Bieber Apologizes For Second Racist Video

Latest

Through a statement released to E! News and a post Instagram, Justin Bieber apologized for a second offensive video that shows him using the word “nigger” and joking about the KKK.

Bieber’s apology on Instagram came in the form of a photo of a passage from the devotional Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. In his statement he said:

Facing my mistakes from years ago has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever dealt with. But I feel now that I need to take responsibility for those mistakes and not let them linger.
I just hope that the next 14-year-old kid who doesn’t understand the power of these words does not make the same mistakes I made years ago. At the end of the day I just need to step up and own what I did.

After Bieber’s first offensive
video came out, he issued a similar statement, explaining that when he was younger he “didn’t understand the power of certain words and how they can hurt” and “thought it was ok to repeat hurtful words and jokes.” |
