Julianna Margulies: Archie Panjabi and I Get Along Great! Archie Panjabi: What? No.

Latest

Though she’s off The Good Wife, Archie Panjabi isn’t going to let the show’s creators, or star Julianna Margulies, pretend that they didn’t have issues that prevented the development of certain storylines—or rather, that Margulies doesn’t have issues with her.

To make a long story short: it’s been rumored for years that Margulies did not like Panjabi, and that their increasingly brief screen time was due to their personal issues, which show creators Robert and Michelle King denied, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

Which is why Panjabi’s response to Margulies’s latest comments are so refreshing. Over the weekend, Vulture wrote up an appearance Margulies made at the New Yorker Festival, where she said that there is no feud between her and Panjabi.

“Right, I’ve heard about [the feud]. Who says that? It’s totally gossip,” Margulies said. “I heard that question had been asked to Robert King. There’s no story there, sorry … I actually had heard [that rumor] and I feel that it has been talked about and answered. I feel people just like to have gossip or make something into something that isn’t there. There’s no animosity on my part. It’s a shame, because I wonder if it was two men, when one finds out that he fucked his best friend’s wife, if it would get that same attention, you know what I mean?”

(She’s referring to the fact that her character Alicia Florrick finds out that Panjabi’s character Kalinda has slept with her husband.)

“It was shot the way Robert wanted to shoot it, and the story line, too,” Margulies went on to say, before arguing that Panjabi had scheduling difficulties because she was also filming The Fall. “I went along with whatever Robert asked me to do and I did it happily.”

“Case closed,” Vulture wrote. As if!

I love this woman. Her deal with 20th Century Fox better bear fruit soon.
