Bachelor Number 1 is twenty-six years old, hails from the Netherlands and enjoys extorting the mother of one women he very likely murdered in exchange for the whereabouts of her body. He also murdered a Peruvian college student after she uncovered details about the first crime on his computer and defended himself by claiming that he's suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. Naturally, the ladies love him. Unfortunately, he's spoken for. Sorry, gals!
Joran van der Sloot, currently serving 28 years in Peruvian prison, is now engaged to 22-year-old woman named Leydi Figueroa Uced, and the two plan to marry later this month. The impending nuptials have been confirmed by van der Sloot's lawyer Máximo Altez. Last October, van der Sloot also told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf that Uced was pregnant with his child, but no birth reports have been released.
Van der Sloot, who's received a number of female visitors and a handful of marriage proposals during his time in jail, is likely marrying Uced to get automatic Peruvian citizenship in an attempt to avoid being extradited to America and face domestic charges of wire fraud and extortion. (He was supposedly engaged to another woman last year, but got cold feet.)
The 19-year-old Alabama high school senior's body was never found, despite his attempted blackmail of her mother Beth to the tune of $250,000. He never divulged the location, but skipped town to gamble the money at a poker match, where he met and subsequently murdered his second victim, student Stephany Flores, in his hotel room.
Never fear! There's still Bachelor Number 2, Rodney Alcala (rapist and serial killer, enjoys the music of Woody Guthrie), and Bachelor Number 3, the ghost of Reichsführer Heinrich Himmler (enjoys wurst, eliminating the Judenschwein, and being the crankiest ghost in the Casper house).
