Jerry Sandusky's Son Understandably Wants to Change His Name

Latest

Matt Sandusky, the adopted son of super cool dad and former super cool Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky, has filed to have his name changed, the Associated Press reports.

The man who will soon no longer be a Sandusky filed name change papers in Pennsylvania this week for himself, his wife and their four children. Originally, Matt was intended to be a character witness for Sandusky during the high profile trial, given that he’d stated that he had never been a victim of abuse under his adopted father (though Matt’s birth mother said in an interview that she believed that Sandusky had changed her son). But after the jury went into deliberations, Matt released a statement through his attorneys stating that “he is a victim of Jerry Sandusky’s abuse,” and news leaked that he would be willing to testify against Sandusky.

In the meantime, Jerry Sandusky is still in jail and trying to appeal his sentencing.
