It took me around 6 years, but I got my husband to stop tucking in his polos. I had to repeat "polo is like t-shirt, it is not like shirt" a million times.
After that was accomplished, I got him to stop tucking shirts that are straight at the bottom. I still haven't convinced him that short-sleeve shirts are all sports shirts (cause, ew, who buys suit-type short-sleeve shirts other than 60 year olds?), and therefore, even if they have a minuscule tail, it does not mean it should be tucked. Sometimes it works, sometimes he tucks them and looks like an overstuffed parcel.
But I just buy all his clothing. He will buy anything a pretty sales girl is selling. There have been cases of a sports coat with *elbow patches*, plaid trousers, and short shorts. I was present for the short shorts occasion and told him they were ridiculous. He still got them. When we got home he finally realized it said "women's" on the inside, but there were no returns.
