Jamaican TV Refuses To Air Pro-Gay PSA

Latest

Jamaican LGBT rights group J-FLAG produced this PSA starring former Miss World and Miss Jamaica pageant queen Christine Straw and her gay brother, Matthew, for television. But unfortunately, supposedly due to pressure by Christian groups on the island, the country’s leading network rejected the ad for being “too controversial.” Because a brother and sister expressing their love for each other, regardless of sexual orientation, is mighty risky.

And let me just make sure I’m understanding this right: Jamaican TV stations will air an hour of Kathie Lee and Hoda dancing around and chasing goats, but not this? That, my friends, is what you call a Hot Load of Bullshit.
