It's John Lennon's 70th Birthday

Today would have been John Lennon‘s 70th birthday. To honor the deceased star, widow Yoko Ono recorded a short video – and encourages you to do the same.

You can watch Yoko’s video here. It’s pretty sweet—and sure to garner quite a few touching fan tributes.

A slightly stranger tribute came from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, which decided to create a time capsule for the singer. It will be opened in 2040, on his 100th birthday and contains CDs and other memorabilia.
