Amazon has released a list of the top 20 cities where the most copies of Suzanne Collins' post-apocalyptic Hunger Games trilogy have been purchased. Number one on the list? Sunnyvale, CA. (Not to be confused with Sunnydale, aka The Hellmouth.) What's going on in Sunnyvale? Well, there's a bunch of aerospace/defense companies: Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, Northrop Grumman… But more important, perhaps, is the fact that the Yahoo! headquarters are in Sunnyvale. Tech folks simply adore a good dystopian novel.
