If You're Not Getting Hitched as a Fictional Character, You're Doing It Wrong

First we saw lots and lots of Disney-inspired brides. Then an Avatar wedding and Alice In Wonderland engagement photos. Now Twilight- and Hunger Games-themed engagement shoots. Nothing says true love like "I wish we were both someone else." Someone propose to me quick, I have an idea for a John Carter wedding: You spend a lot of money and no one shows up.

I'd like to have elements of fandoms in the wedding, but I don't think I'd go full on singular fandom. One of my fandoms is such a big deal to me, that honestly, I think it'd be weird if it wasn't included. I could totally see my eventual partner adding it as a surprise if I didn't actually request it.

I was a guest at Space Battleship Yamato themed wedding about ten years ago.

This really doesn't bother me. A wedding is one of those times where you should be able to do whatever you want, and no one gets to tell you what you can and cannot do. And honestly, I don't get the hate for the Hunger Games themed wedding, but then I think I am much more romantic about Katniss and Peeta (and yes, I've read the entre series).

You do you, boo.
