Huma Abedin Tweeted. What Happened Next Won't Surprise You.

Politics

Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin joined Twitter yesterday, which is a mistake. No one should ever tweet. But Abedin probably has to, and her first tweet was a response to presidential candidate Ben Carson’s very smart not at all bigoted comment that a Muslim shouldn’t ever be president:

Naturally, as the Washington Post points out, Abedin was met with Twitter’s usual cavalcade of filth, both because she is Muslim and because her husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner, was forced to resign after it became clear that he was texting a lot of people pictorial representations of his penis.

The responses ranged from confused claims that a Muslim president would impose sharia law to suggestions that Abedin should go die, for some reason. There were also a handful of references to Hillary Clinton’s very sketchy private email servers, but those were vastly outweighed by the more disgusting stuff.

Here’s a video capturing the last moment that Abedin didn’t have a horde of vile strangers screaming at her from her mobile device at all times.
