Hiddleston Smolders and Faucets Pour Blood in New Crimson Peak Trailer

Entertainment

As previously established by Kelly Faircloth, horror stories of the Victorian gothic variety tend to rule and thusly, Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak, a movie about a young woman (Mia Wasikowska) who moves into the remote (and haunted) manor of her new husband (Tom Hiddleston) and his creepy sister (Jessica Chastain) ought to be very exciting.

The two most recent trailers—though sadly lacking in the first teaser’s slowed down, drone-y cover of Nick Cave’s “Red Right Hand”—offer more insight into Wasikowska’s character (a Victorian horror writer who’s seen ghosts her whole life), a better impression of the film’s cinematography (lots of saturated color and blood reds), more close-ups of Jessica Chastain scowling, and a longer shot of Tom Hiddleston not wearing a shirt. Charlie Hunnam also makes an appearance, unfortunately—THE HORROR—wearing pants.
