Here's What the Cast of SNL Would Look Like as Demented Scientologists

A week after HBO premiered the Scientology documentary Going Clear, SNL has its response—a music video for “the Church of Neurotology” that perfectly channels the dowdy 20th century insanity of L. Ron & friends. “Religion and science intertwined, aliens live inside of our minds,” sings a beatific Aidy Bryant, eyes bright with fervor.

This sketch really is SNL at its unhinged best, and with such great source material, how could it not be? Has there ever been a more perfect object of satire than Scientology? And I would be remiss if I did not leave you with a few screenshots:
