Apparently the late King of Pop is the gift that keeps on giving.
A few nights ago, Michael Jackson's official Twitter account made history, posting the first "worldwide Twitter premiere" of the music video for "A Place With No Name." That night, the video was shown on the Sony screen in Times Square. Cool. The song itself sounds like a poppier take on Kanye West's "Black Skinhead," but to be fair, there's plenty of Michael Jackson's influence in West's work to begin with.
Apparently Jackson recorded the audio for the song in 1998, and the video includes some footage of Jackson himself though there is some other, more recent footage to fill in the blanks. I can't tell how I feel about this. I just kind of feel weird about it. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.
