Not only was Kelly Ripa pissed that ABC blindsided her with the news that her Live co-anchor Michael Strahan was moving to Good Morning America, but now sources are saying she and Strahan never really got along, which would make them two of the world’s best actors.
This comes from Page Six, which reports that Strahan was stretched thin doing Live and a couple days a week at GMA, and was, according to one of their sources, “having temper tantrums.”
The pair “did not get along. It was all for the show,’’ a Ripa source said. “They could not stand each other, and whenever they communicated off-camera, it was always through their reps.”
Others say that Ripa’s particularly pissed because she rooted for Strahan:
“She got [Strahan] started, he stepped over her without an FYI, and now a nice morning show has become ABC’s newest drama,” quipped the source.
I’d argue that the only good thing about morning shows is the behind-the-scenes drama, but to each their own.
Other updates from this battle of David vs. Goliath in which neither is David or Goliath because they both make millions: Strahan skipped a charity gala last night, sources on the production team say they’re worried this drama might make ABC just scrap Live entirely, and ET says that Ripa “went M.I.A” when Regis announced he was leaving too.
Here’s a video of Iggy Azalea casually signing autographs for young fans while having a complete conversation with a TMZ camera dude. They discuss why she’s not wearing her engagement ring (“I just don’t think women should have to wear their ring like, ya know, it’s not my job. You know what I mean? It’s nothing personal. It doesn’t go with the outfit.”) and how she’s cool with her still-fiancé Nick Young going to Vegas with friends even though it doesn’t look very good following his cheating scandal.
Here’s a blurry video of Rob Kardashian shootin’ hoops shirtless.
