Beyoncé kicked off her Formation Tour last night in Miami, and in addition to selling some truly perfect merchandise, she also showed off a variety of bomb-ass leotards and thigh-high boots
The white number above is Balmain, and Olivier Rousteing spoke to Women’s Wear Daily about the piece:
Balmain’s designer Olivier Rousteing employed French lace with a floral motif for Beyoncé’s ruffled outfit, which was hand-embroidered with pearls and stones. Accessories included a Victorian-inspired brooch embellished with pearls and glass-bead tassels.
Beyoncé opened the show in this magnificent hat reminiscent of her soon-to-be iconic look from the “Formation” video.

Along with it she wore my favorite costume from the show, which Tom and Lorezo credits as a DSquared2 design.
Considering that her dancers are obviously in Gucci, it seems like a safe assumption that Beyoncé’s puff sleeve red look is a Gucci creation as well.
She got her Michael Jackson on in a Roberto Cavalli crystal body suit.
Via Tom and Lorenzo:
Roberto Cavalli black crystal body suit with military braiding and sleeves with snake motif embroidery and velvet tiger printed cuissard boots.
Please consider that Beyoncé also danced her ass off in the Miami humidity under a stage of lights in a latex leotard and latex boots from Atsuko Kudo.
And it wouldn’t be a Beyoncé tour without some sort of intricately beaded or crystalized champagne-colored bodysuit.
It seems that there was one more look, a two piece gold costume, but I haven’t caught any good images of it yet.
Of course, Beyoncé has also been known to tweak her looks a bit during her tours, so its possible some omissions or additions will pop up, if you can stand it.
And now, I shall leave you with Beyoncé murdering the absolute hell out of a dance sequence while I thank her for not letting a moment of this show pass without showing off her magnificent thighs.
