HBO Is Giving Us the Gift of Mark Ruffalo Playing Twin Brothers

EntertainmentTV

Finally I get to share this opinion of mine: Mark Ruffalo is the sexiest Hollywood actor. And that’s a fact. Soon it will be a double fact.

Deadline reported on Thursday that HBO green-lighted the production of forthcoming six-episode limited drama series I Know This Much Is True. The show, executive produced by Mark Ruffalo, stars Mark Ruffalo and Mark Ruffalo. It is, obviously, being fast-tracked.

HBO’s official description of the series miniseries, based upon Wally Lamb’s novel by the same name, is that it’s a “family saga that follows the parallel lives of identical twin brothers in an epic story of betrayal, sacrifice, and forgiveness set against the backdrop of 20th-century America.” Except for the twin brothers part this sounds like every other HBO show. The characters Ruffalo plays are named Dominick and Thomas Birdsey.

The show is written, directed, and co-executive produced by Derek Cianfrance (The Place Beyond the Pines). Lamb, FilmNation Entertainment’s Ben Browning and Glen Basner, Gregg Fienberg and Anya Epstein are also executive producing.

Ruffalo is a three-time Oscar nominee, whom I will always adore for getting out the vote, hating GMOs so much, and being astoundingly attractive in In the Cut (2003).
