In additionally important news, Angelina Jolie has been promoted from Goodwill Ambassador to Special Envoy for the United Nations refugee agency. Spokesman Adrian Edwards says: "Her work does go substantially beyond what we would typically see as being the normal role of a goodwill ambassador… I don't think you need a rocket scientist to see the benefits that she is bringing in terms of the attention that she is getting for the plight of the world's displaced." He notes that she is not financially compensated for her role, and did not buy it: "She has donated substantially to refugees… There is to my knowledge absolutely no connection between any donation of money and this role." Isn't it so nice that Halle was able to find love again, after multiple failed marriages and amidst the detritus of a child custody battle? Actually I'm not happy for her at all, or the generically handsome boy toy suddenly elevated to husband material. I think the only thing she cares about is the effort to erase her baby daddy from their daughter's life. Once Oliver Martinez adopts the kid under French law, their permanent move to Europe will solve this little problem that's been bugging Halle for a while. I mean, damn, Gabriel Aubry might bug the shit out of her, but she has him in court every other day calling him an unfit father, accusing him of child endangerment, or having her employees charge him with assault.
