My sister and I are Asian adoptee daughters of a Caucasian couple. Once when my sister was small she got angry over not being bought some candy and refused to get into the car upon our father's instruction. He began to physically place her into the vehicle upon which she began shrieking "YOU'RE NOT MY DADDY!!" and hilarity and onlooker intervention ensued.
It got talked about at family functions thereafter, like, forever.
The funniest thing is, her disowning of him as a family member wasn't some extraordinarily mature insight into inter-country adoption and its implications. She'd just been taught at school by this stage that shouting this in public is guaranteed an immediate response.
