@treecut...will cut a beech: Sometimes it comes back to me. I was sitting on the beach on Sunday and these two idiots on a Hobie Cat were running upwind on a looooooong reach. They kept trying to come about really hard to go back up wind on the opposite tack and just kept coming in on the beach...200 yards...150 yards...100 yards... Eventually the lifeguards had to go out and help the guys get their boat turned around.
And I'm sitting in my chair watching these two yahoos try to come about, imagining I'm at summer camp again, getting yelled at by the instructor in her Boston Whaler...."What is wrong with you two?! Get up some speed and put the rudder over HARD. That's why you keep going into irons! AAAAAAAGH IF YOU DO THIS RIGHT YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BACK THE JIB."
