Goddess Gowns and a Whole Lotta Thigh at the Divergent Premiere

BeautyStyle

The latest film-based-on-a-YA-novel Divergent premiered last night in Los Angeles, and elegant woodsprite Shailene Woodley was there with all of her merry forest friends.

In steel gray: Ansel Elgort — who, like Shailene, is in both Divergent and The Fault In Our Stars and yes, his father is photographer Arthur Elgort. Jaden Smith went more… casual. Bevested Mekhi Phifer plays Max in Divergent.

Some chisel-jawed lads in attendance: Grey Damon, Matt Lanter and Greg Finley are not in the movie but in that new CW show Star-Crossed; Garrett Clayton is on the ABC Family show The Fosters.

Here’s Theo James, who plays Four in Divergent and is being submitted to us a a candidate for the Heartthrob of Tomorrow™. I accept what gifts the Universe offers. (You may recognize him as Downton Abbey‘s ill-fated Mr. Pamuk.)

Charmbomb Miles Teller plays Peter in Divergent and looks good in green. More green is good: Lyndie Greenwood, aka Sonya on Nikita and Jenny Mills on Sleepy Hollow.

In droopy crotches: Star-Crossed‘s Chelsea Gilligan and singer Pia Mia. Thumbs up for the hot contrasty accessories Pia Mia has happening.

In figure-hugging saturated color: Scandal‘s Bellamy Young and Ashley Judd, who plays Natalie in Divergent.

ALERT ALERT ALERT BOMBSHELL DROPPING. Kate Winslet.

A lot of shine here: Heart of Dixie actor Claudia Lee shimmers in silver; Zoë Kravitz — who plays Christina in Divergent — is radiant in ivory.

Golden girls: Disney Channel’s Bella Thorne and actor Kristen Quintrall.

More glittery gold: Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka.

And here’s Ms. Shailene Woodley, in what is either an army-issued camo net, a bedspread from the Madonna Inn, or a golden goddess Elie Saab Couture gown (surely it looks much better in person).

Singer Ellie Goulding (who has a song on the Divergent soundtrack) looks fabulous in a tiny sequined Dynasty-shouldered dress. And 25-year-old Veronica Roth, who wrote the bestselling Divergent trilogy, looks completely at home in a gorgeous black velvet number.

But the winner of this particular red carpet? Maggie Q, or as I like to call her, daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn. Talk about Thighlights. (She plays Tori in Divergent.)
