Glitz And Glam At The Creative Arts Emmys

BeautyStyle

Kathy Griffin often refers to them as the “Schmemmys,” but judging by the star-studded crowd that showed up last night, I’d say the Creative Arts Emmys are quickly becoming just as glamorous as the big show itself.

Seth Meyers and his girlfriend both looked pretty glam.

Maria Canals Barrera shows off one of the trends of the night; super-long evening gowns that go all the way to the floor.

Seth Green and his wife, Clare Grant seemed to be having more fun than anyone else on the red carpet.

I like Kathy Griffin and Kristen Chenoweth, but I’m not sold on either of their dresses. What do you think?

NPH picked up some pretty nifty accessories.

There seems to be some detailing on Jane Lynch’s dress that didn’t photograph well; she looks lovely, but in this picture, she also seems a bit uncomfortable, doesn’t she?

Wanda Sykes and her wife, Alex, both looked gorgeous.

Mia Michaels stayed completely monochromatic; I wonder if a brightly colored purse or pair of shoes would have made her outfit a little less funereal.

Elizabeth Mitchell has an ethereal quality in shimmery white.

“Look at your man, now back to me, now back at your man, now back to me. Sadly, your man isn’t me, because I have an Emmy, and he doesn’t.”

The hat and skinny tie combo might look costume-y on some people, but Mike O’Malley pulls it off.

Mary Lynn Rajskub’s dress is very red carpet ballerina, no?

Jon Hamm: dapper as always.

Lily Tomlin and Kathryn Joosten somewhat resemble an Edward Gorey illustration, so naturally, I love it.

Ryan Seacrest, seen here with Ann Margret, defeated Kathy Griffin in order to win his Emmy for Best Reality Program (he produced Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution). Griffin responded by posting this picture on her Twitter page:

Don’t worry, Kathy! You’ll get ’em at the Schmemmys next year.
