The old joke goes that women say they have "a headache" to get out of sex. Well a new survey done by the National Headache Foundation says that most people get headaches after intercourse! Out of 170 patients surveyed, 46% say they get headaches either during or after sex. On the bright side, 20% report that sex helps ease their head pains, and 6% have more sex because it provides such headache relief. If you're a middle aged dude and you're getting a headache at the point of ejaculation, you may be suffering from a condition called coital cephalalgia. According to Esquire, "Coital cephalalgia is most often seen in middle-aged men who have high blood pressure and are too, as the saying goes, fat." Taking some migraine meds, beta blockers or shedding a few pounds helps ease the head pain for cephalalgia suffers. [CBS News, Esquire]
