Gina Rodriguez, Jane the Virgin star and wonderful human being, recently spoke about the pressures she faces in Hollywood.

"I work in an industry where I am constantly being told, 'You're not skinny enough. You're not tall enough. You're not ethnic enough,'" Rodriguez told People. "Being constantly told that you are not enough can wear down any woman – any person, period."

But Rodriguez seems pretty grounded about it all:

As a woman in this industry, we are constantly being pressured to look a certain way and to get our hair and nails and makeup done and live up to these images that aren't conducive to a healthy mind. But I have to remember that this is a game. And if the game says I should be looking like this, then I just don't play that role. And that's okay.

Rodriguez has emerged as a pretty refreshing voice, melting the iciest of icy hearts (okay, mine) with her Golden Globe acceptance speech and advocating for more diversity on screen.
