It appears that Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have officially broken up for a second time.

A source told US Weekly that Hadid “tried hard to make it work,” but Malik had “a lot of his own issues that she couldn’t help him get through… She cut herself off from all her friends every time they were together. She focused all her time and energy on him, but it just got to be too much.” If that means she finally came to the realization that just because he’s hot, doesn’t mean he’s worth the work, it’s good news. She can’t fix him! Only he can fix him! He’s a sensitive solo artist!

All things considered, the pair were an item for a really long time. Considering how hot, young, and famous they are, it was practically a lifetime: They got together in November 2015, eight months after Malik became the first member to ditch One Direction (the rest followed in 2016). They broke up in March 2018 after an inseparable two years. Two months later, they were caught hooking up again and who could blame them—they’re extremely good-looking, boring people who absolutely should fuck all the time. They are a classic case of a once-was, should-be match made in some Instagrammable heaven—but as we know, all good things come to an end.
