Fox News Apologizes To Jews After Insinuating They Killed Jesus

Latest

If you thought Fox News was going to take a break from being completely obnoxious for the holidays, you were sadly mistaken. In a move that can only be described as asinine, Fox Latin America put up a poll on Facebook asking their followers who they thought was responsible for the death of Jesus Christ. Here were the three possible answers: Pontius Pilate, the Jewish People, or the High Priests.

Not surprisingly a fair number of the Jewish people found the insinuation that they were responsible for the death of Christ totally offensive. The Simon Weisenthal Center in Buenos Aires was “outraged” by the reference to Vatican propaganda that they said, “resulted in the persecution and murder of Jews for two millennia.” And, good God, even the Vatican itself put the kibosh on this idea way back in 1965.

But very, very classy of you to bring it up again, Fox, and for such a completely useless reason too: the poll was being used to promote the National Geographic Channel’s Christmas special, of all things. Fortunately, they’ve removed the poll and apologized. We’re also being assured that “measures have been taken to prevent such incidents in the future.” Yes, this will no doubt be the very last time any Fox New channel does anything offensive…
