Father's Day may have come and gone, but fortunately Yankee Candle's special collection of "man candles" (yes, seriously) are still available for all of your masculine odor-masking needs. With scents like "2x4" and "Riding Mower"—which both smell like exactly what you'd expect—you can cater to the stereotypical outdoorsy handyman in your life. But don't despair, the stereotypical TV-watching sports nut is also covered with "First Down," which is described thusly: "This combination of orange, patchouli, vetiver and leather is as exciting as game day." Patchouli? Well, that is exciting... Or you can go with the somewhat ambiguous sounding "Man Town." They say it promises an "Escape to the man cave with this masculine blend of spices, woods and musk." You could probably also dump Old Spice around the corners of your living room and achieve the same effect, but where would the romance be in that?
It's just too bad there aren't more of these. After all, what man wouldn't want to light up a "Beer Farts" candle for warmth during those intensely sleepless nights, or perhaps your gentleman is more of a "Working Late" type who'd prefer a scent that blends stale cubicle air with printer toner? Well, for now at least, you'll have to settle for the existing collection, each of which can be had for $27.99. That may sound like a lot for a jar filled with perfumed man wax, but the 110 to 115 hours they promise you'll spend awash in a bath of blissfully masculine fragrance will surely be priceless.
