This is only Lebanese designer (and Halle Berry favorite) Elie Saab's fourth couture collection, but it's a doozy. Fantastical and beautiful and extravagant - you know, couture. In addition to swooning over several of the gowns, I found myself intrigued by the expressive models on parade. I thought to myself, 'If these models could talk, what a tale they'd have to tell...' Tales, couture, in a gallery beginning below.
Okay, finally examine. Ummm... gorgeous. For the most part, totally gorgeous. The one sleeve kinda reaks of 'Dynasty' a little too much, but the whimsy, the colors, the Victorian sensibilities are all lovely. It reminds me very strongly of Yohji Yamamoto's mid-late 90s work, which has always been some of my very favorite stuff.
