Fashion Show

Philip Lim hails from Orange County, and you can see some of that laid-back California vibe in his designs. But instead of surfers and Hollywood starlets, think fluid lines and easy, loose fits. His vision for fall 2008 has subdued neutrals, simple (but never boring) separates and a few punches of eye-popping, unusual colors. Is it a cohesive collection? Not sure. But the coats are divine! And one slinky, juicy dress is transcendent. Check out the 14-image gallery, below, and judge for yourself.

I'm sorry but I hate (HATE!) that outfit with the blue pants. It does NOT look pulled together, as the caption indicates. It looks more like the crazy lady next door who used to be a kindergarten teacher but now all she does is organize, and reorganize, her collection of Duran Duran cassette tapes.
