Everyone Bought Adele's New Album '25' This Week

Hello, it’s Adele. She was wondering if after all of these days you had bought “25,” because everyone else has. According to Billboard, “25” has broken the single-week U.S. sales record in only three days.

Industry forecasters are estimating that the album will sell three million copies in its first week on the market. According to Nielsen Music, which began tracking album sales in 1991, Adele’s album has already passed the record holder for first-week album sales, N’Sync’s “No Strings Attached.”

Though N’Sync is undoubtedly some pretty stiff competition, the sales of “25” are proof positive that Adele’s mournful alto and spot-on breakup songs melt even the iciest of hearts (Hello). So if you haven’t bought “25,” blared it in your car and had feelings while driving down the highway like everyone else in this cruel world, then this is your chance. I’m sorry, it’s so typical of me to talk about myself.
