A new study by Dr. David Vanata, associate professor at Ashland University asked 240 young adults to look at a list of 62 foods and rank each on happiness, excitability, pleasantness, and comfort. The top-ranked foods for emotional response, combining all four categories, are ice cream, chocolate, and cookies. The lowest-ranked are avocado, tofu, and soy.
