Ellie Goulding Is Engaged to an Old Money Guy

Singer Ellie Goulding is engaged to a hot, old money art nerd! His name is Caspar Jopling and they’d been dating for 18 months before he popped the question (to put that into context, that’s as long as Harry Styles was living in an attic.)

Goulding and Jopling revealed their very British betrothal in the U.K. Times newspaper and the announcement is truly on some aristocratic shit. Ellie even uses her real/full first name, Elena:

“The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena*, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Herefordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.”

What we do know about Caspar, courtesy People: he’s 26, he’s English, he’s handsome, he works in corporate development and strategy at Sotheby’s New York office and he went to school at Eton College, where both Prince Harry and Prince William studied. According to W Magazine, he’s also the nephew of Jay Jopling, a very, very famous and very, very, very wealthy art dealer.

Caspar’s certainly a fancy lad—and a step up from her days of dating pop-rocker Dougie Poynter of the beloved British band McFly and Skrillex. R.I.P to that.
