Drunk Aubrey Plaza Interrupts Will Ferrell at the MTV Movie Awards

Was Aubrey Plaza wasted at the MTV Movie Awards last night? Maybe. As Will Ferrell was accepting his Comedic Genius Golden Popcorn award, Plaza stormed the stage and tried to pry the prize from his hands. “Are you okay?” Ferrell asked. When she couldn’t wrestle the award from his grip, she retuned to her seat. Watch closely, and you’ll see her drop her plastic cup on booze on the floor as she sits. Been there!

MTV News reports that it was not a planned gag or a scripted moment, and Ferrelll later described the moment: “Aubrey Plaza ran up on stage, and I think she wanted to tell me something important, but… there was no message. It was just a a lot of hot liquor breath. And a little bit of sweat. And then she ran away.”

After the incident, producers asked her to leave the event. Strange choice, since it seems like her stage-crash might have been the most exciting thing that happened.
