Drinking Buddies Is Basically the New Girl Motion Picture

If you were holding out hope for a New Girl movie (no judgement — I’m sure you have your reasons for wanting that), you really just have to wait for Drinking Buddies, a romantic dramedy about Olivia Wilde and New Girl‘s Jake Johnson flirting with each other in spite of the significant others (Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston, respectively) they’re nominally devoted to. This is the Jess-Nick Miller crisis for the big screen, and while I’m sure Olivia Wilde and Nick Miller make an equally frustrating pair of star-crossed lovers, there is only one woman for Nick Miller, and she plays a ukulele. Do you play a ukulele, Olivia Wilde?? I didn’t think so.
