Showgirls director Paul Verhoeven recently revealed that Charlize auditioned for and desperately wanted the role, but lost out to Elizabeth Berkley, because Berkley was better known.
“Charlize…auditioned, and I don’t recall her having any problem with the nudity at all,” Verhoeven told the New York Daily News. “She was good and wanted the part, but basically she was not well-known enough at the time and just did not fit the part, so we said no.”
Dang. All the Ver-sayce in the world couldn’t heal this wound.
Khloe Kardashian has made her first official statement since the hospitalization of her estranged husband, Lamar Odom.
