- Robin Givens is upset that The View taped an interview with Mike Tyson that airs Friday. Barbara Walters interviewed Givens and Tyson about their abusive marriage on 20/20 in 1988, and Givens asked The View not to “rehash their rather tumultuous relationship.” The show ignored her request and “Barbara asked Mike Tyson several questions about their 1988 bombshell interview during (the) taping, which Tyson answered,” according to a rep for the show. - Alexa Ray Joel told People that she wasn’t trying to kill herself when she nearly overdosed on pills in December. “I did say, ‘I want to die’ on the (911 call). Did I really want to? Absolutely not! I was being dramatic, and I take responsibility and apologize to everybody involved,” she said, adding that she took the pills after having a fight with her boyfriend. “I was in such a dark place. My soul was shattered. I only felt OK with him. I couldn’t play a show without him. I was addicted to this man, and it spiraled out of control.
