In the words of Ana Steele: Oh, jeez. According to this report,

It's safe to assume that E.L. James has long ago sold enough copies to repay her seven figure book advance, which means at this point she is earning the standard 7% royalty on every $14 paperback and 25% royalty on every $10 ebook. In the last month, James has sold 4 million paperbacks and 1 million ebooks which equates to $2.94 million in paperback royalties and $2.497 million in ebook royalties. In other words $5.4 million in four weeks, $1.35 million per week!

In September, she should be getting a check for $20 million. And so, it is with great excitement that I announce my new novel, Fifty Shades of Twilight Games.

Well the sort of brilliant mind that can craft this passage from the ether —

"He reaches down, and from his pants pocket, he takes out his silver grey silk tie… that silver grey woven tie that leaves small impressions of its weave on my skin. He moves so quickly, sitting astride me as he fastens my wrists together, but this time, he ties the other end of the tie to one of the spokes of my white iron headboard. He pulls at my binding, checking it’s secure. I’m not going anywhere. I’m tied, literally, to my bed, and I’m so aroused."

— deserves to be compensated like they discovered a cure for cancer.

I'm so aroused.
