Daycare Workers Arrested for Allegedly Making a ‘Toddler Fights’ Video

At a daycare center that is apparently owned and operated by George Bluth, Sr., three workers allegedly videotaped a fight between the toddlers in their care, thus creating their very own, real-life version of "Boy Fights," which, as it turns out, isn't very funny without Ron Howard's sardonic narration.

On Monday, three daycare workers at Hands of Our Future in Dover, Del. were charged with assault and other offenses after police arrested them for allegedly encouraging and videotaping a fight between 3-year-olds in their care, footage that must have been extremely awkward for detectives to sift through. Dover officials suspended the license of Hand of Our Future the very same day the video was found because you really can't drag your feet on punishing this sort of puerile pugilism.

Investigators say that the incident occurred in March. The mother of one of the children involved has said that she's pretty shocked by the allegations because her daughter apparently said that the daycare teachers taught her never to hit back if someone hit her. Unless they were filming, of course, and then the Mortal Kombat theme music came on and everybody in charge forgot about how they were supposed to be making sure that the little kids in their care didn't hurt themselves or accidentally swallow anything dangerous for the span of a few hours.

Um, so what? Kids fight. It's something they do. And sometimes it's impressive or funny, but taping it is hardly grounds for arrest. The nanny state is a _bad_ thing, remember?
