Cops Think They've Found the Bodies of Miss Honduras and Her Sister

Unfortunately, it looks like they’ve found the bodies of María José Alvarado and Sofia Trinidad, Miss Honduras World 2014 and her older sister, both of whom were allegedly kidnapped just days ago.

The Associated Press reports the cops say they’ve found two bodies they believe to be the sisters, and they’re just waiting for official forensic confirmation. Both were shot to death. Authorities have taken Trinidad’s boyfriend into custody and another man, as well.

The pair went missing last week, after leaving a birthday celebration; 19-year-old Alvarado was supposed to set out for London and the Miss World pageant on Sunday. The competition has issued a statement, saying they’ll be collecting donations for a local children’s home in her honor.
