Someone call Michele Bachmann and let her know that she's finally obtained the ranking of Asshole Eagle Scout. Huma Abedin — the Pakistani-American Hillary Clinton aide whom Bachmann and several other nuttier-than-a-fruitcake Congressmen alleged had close ties with the Muslim Brotherhood — has begun receiving death threats.
According to the New York Post, the threats came from a New Jersey man, and security around Abedin has been beefed up. It's possible but highly improbably that this guy would have just out of the blue decided to threaten Abedin if Bachmann et al hadn't spent the last fortnight harping on flimsy ties that relatives of Abedin may have had at one point in the distant past. Inflammatory rhetoric has consequences, folks.
Abedin and her husband, former Congressman Anthony Weiner, have an infant son.
