Condé Nast hasn't commented on this developments, but besides the lawsuit, there have been other signs that something like this might happen. The company reportedly used to pay their interns, but several interns told the tumblr Who Pays Interns that, as of earlier this year, it had stopped giving out small stipends.

After the news came out, some people took to Twitter to express their intense sorrow that no one would ever get to intern at Condé Nast's many publications, which include Vogue, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker and GQ, again:

OMG. Aliza Licht is the biggest turd. Go back to tweeting morsels about your assistant ordering the wrong cake pops for a party. The people who sued didn't ruin it for everyone. Conde Nast along with other companies (fashion and non) are to blame for abusing what an internship actually should be.
