Comment of the Day: Enough With the Gemstone Snarking

Le Coucher d'Yvette would like to remind all of our readers that rings have feelings too, and their body images shouldn't have to suffer under unreasonable scrutiny:

Ladies, I am seriously concerned with the the amount of #ringsnarking in these comments. The diamonds can't help being the shape they are. Obviously the ones on the side clearly have fast metabolisms, and the center diamond is just big boned! Why must we try to make diamonds fit into our societal opinion of what beauty is. Sure, a Ruby or Sapphire may have filled the role nicely - and added some diversity - but the book is pretty specific as to the color of this character and the rest of us just need to accept it. #obligatoryhungergamesreference

Use #trollpatrol to report comments that you feel the editors/mods should be aware of. Try not to respond to/approve/promote trollish comments in the threads - instead, just post the comment on the #trollpatrol page, the same way you'd post a comment on #groupthink or on the #cotd page, and the editors/mods will take care of it.

Everyone knows that gems go through extensive surgery to look the way they do. There's no prejudice here. They CHOSE to look like that.
