Stanford journalism professor Drake Martinet has upped the proposal ante by designing and creating the cutest infographic ever as a way to ask for his girlfriend Stacy's hand in marriage. He then posted the image to Stacy's own blog and—good news— she said yes!

The math is shaky on this. I think he needs to explain to me how he could have met 4% of the world population. I don't quite follow.

Also, I don't see why he invokes this group at all. If he wants to prove that there is no other soul mate on earth than Stacy -which he seems to do on the second to last slide, then it doesn't matter how many people he is able to meet.

Additionally,if his algorithm is based on places he's lived, shouldn't he then take also into account that he comes in contact with mainly english speaking people? In that case I do not follow his argument that 88% of those people don't speak english.

I recommend Stacy waits with the engagement until those questions are properly addressed.
