Yesterday, four new posters for Gone Girl were released and they all feature evidence bags with clues from the film. It's a bit strange because the posters are actually advertising a trailer that's set to come out tomorrow, but as Drew McWeeny at HitFix points out, the July 5 release of the posters is a nod to Nick and Amy's wedding anniversary, the day Amy disappears.

My sister LOVED this book. Raved about it. I couldn't get into it. Nothing about it seemed realistic (and I read science fiction and fantasy novels usually, so) and it felt... flat. I hated everyone and there was no one to empathize with or root for, like a strange AU Game of Thrones or something. It was a gimmick book, with a big ol' gimmick.

That said, I bet Hollywood can do wonders with it and I expect the film will actually be not that bad.
